Raja Ampat |Birds
DAY 1: MANOKWARI-SORONG. ARRIVAL SORONG-WAISAI [RAJA AMPAT] [D]
Arrival at Sorong airport, meeting service, and transfer to people harbor of Sorong for your boat ride to Waisai harbor. Boat schedule at ether on 9:00 Am or 14:00 PM. Arrive in Waisai, we will be driving approximately 30 minutes to our hotel or similar (L.D).
DAY 2: RAJA AMPAT BIRDING TOUR [BL.D]
Wake up call 4AM, then we will have early breakfast on 4:30 Am. In the morning (early morning) around 5:00 Am, we will bring you to visit the habitat of Wilson bop. To visit this habitat, you will do medium level f trekking. Around: 10:00 with, you will return to the resort/hotel you stay. Lunch will be prepared at hotel/resort. After lunch, around 3:00 PM, you will birding along the main path of Waigeo Island. Late afternoon, back to the hotel and overnight [BLD].
DAY 3: RAJA AMPAT BIRDING TOUR [BL.D]
Another early wakeup call on 4am, then take your breakfast. On 5am, you will walk from the hotel to the walk trail above the resort to see the red bird of paradise. The walking approximately about 30minutes with 10’-15 climbing elevation. Around 10 Am, back to the hotel and lunch. After lunch, we will be doing birding in near the unused airport area. Later afternoon, back the hotel-rest & dinner.
DAY 4: RAJA MAPAT BIRDING TOUR [BLD]
After breakfast, we will go early morning and will be dropped off by the truck on the birds watching spots. It takes one hour to the bird’s spots. The target today is to see Wilson bird of paradise but also we will see red tailed bird of paradise which is singing and display on the top tree strung. On the way back you will endemic birds & many migrated birds along. We will come back to the home stay for the lunch, and then connect another spots, near by the Waisai city and around. After that, then we will drive back to the hotel-and dinner.
DAY 5: WAISAI-SORONG-KLASOUW VALLEY
Breakfast at hotel/resort. On 8:00 AM drive to the Waisai harbor. We will depart by 4WD to the Waisai harbor where will take the fast boat to the people harbor in Sorong. Arrive in Sorong, and then connect to any restaurant, lunch finished, shopping and heading to Klasouw valley for another 1-2hours. On arrival in Klasouw is free time to do afternoon birding, or relax in home stay. Where the next 3 full days in Klasouw birding [especially low land birds of paradise >>>
Tour summary of Klasouw valley:
(Flexible, open spaced. Focus on Lesser bop, 12 wired birds of paradise, King of Paradise, Pale billed sickle billed, magnificent rifle bird of paradise)
Day 6 Focus on Lesser birds of Paradise [full dday-Morning and afternoon.
Day 7 Day 9: Focus on King of Paradise, and other endemic birds & migrated low land birds like: White & black cockatoo, pigeons, and black red eyed Coucal, etc in up-coming days!
Day 10 Klasouw Valley-Sorong-Hotel
Day 11 Airport Service-Departure
